✦ How-To Guide
Job Fit Analysis
Know whether a job is worth your time before you spend an hour applying.
What it does
Scores how well you match a saved job from 0 to 100. It breaks down your strengths, your gaps, and the exact keywords to add. It also tells you how to position your resume and cover letter for the role.
Before you start
- Import the job post you want to check by pasting its URL on the Import page.
- Fill in your profile — target roles, experience, and skills — so the score reflects your real background.
How to use Job Fit Analysis
Open a saved job from your Jobs list.
Find the Actions panel on the right.
Click Analyze Fit.
💡 Already analyzed this job? The button reads Re-analyze Fit and replaces the old result with a fresh one.
Wait a few seconds for your results.
Review your score, fit level, and summary.
Expand each section to read strengths, gaps, and recommendations.
💡 In the Keywords to Add section, click Add to my skills to push the suggested keywords straight into your profile.
What to expect
Results appear in a few seconds. You see a score out of 100, a fit-level badge, and your niche, followed by expandable cards for the summary, strengths, keywords, gaps, and resume and cover letter guidance. Quality tracks how complete your profile is — a sparse profile leans on the job post and shows an accuracy note. The analysis stays honest and will not inflate a weak match.
Tips for best results
- Complete your profile — the analyzer weighs the job against your actual experience and skills.
- Add the keywords — one click moves suggested skills into your profile for the next application.
- Read the gaps — each one shows its severity, why it matters, and how to address it.
- Re-analyze after updates — refresh the score once you have strengthened your profile.
- Trust the honesty — a low score saves you from sinking time into a poor-fit role.
